Drupal vs Wordpress

I'm in the process of redesigning the SG website. The previous offering was active for several years--which is an eternity in the world of web these days. I think I fancied the site development for it's stability and overall security more than anything. Drupal, the platform I had used previously, and as you can see I'm using again is put together that way. It reminds me of an old Volvo 240 DL I owned for a number of years (in the late 80s through the 90s). Not flashy, but very sturdy and dependable. Of course, there is a bit of work and intense problem solving that's involved when developing a Drupal site, but the results are worth the effort. Where as Wordpress is much easier to use--so easy, a caveman really could launch one, but I sometimes worry about the safety and security of this platform--kind of like a particular compact sports car I dearly loved--but only for a short time. It took me several month to decide on which one to use, but after much thought, and scores of headaches maintaining Wordpress sites for others, the decision to continue using Drupal became crystal clear. If anyone has information on purchasing a totally refurbished 240, feel free to contact me in that regard. I'm feeling a bit nostalgic now.
